The National Football League training camps open up this weekend with the rookies reporting first and the veterans joining them a few days thereafter. With the beginning of training camps brings hope for all NFL Teams and their fans. Pro football is one of the few professional sports where teams annually finish last in their division, but rise up from the cellar the following season to win their Division, and as other teams in the past, have gone on to win the Super Bowl. Weekend Update: Nats Destroy A’s 23-4…
The Washington Nationals opened up a six-game road trip last night in Sacramento with a bang, scoring 23 runs in a rout of the A’s. This was the A’s 10th loss in a row, and, needless to say, it was a blow out. There were no runs until the top of the third when Curtis Mead’s double to left scored Nasim Nunez, who had singled, and Jacob Young, who had walked earlier in the inning. Andres Chaparro then knocked in Mead with a single to left. 3-0 Nats. The Nationals added a run in

Kids riding bikes into the stadium and joining players on the field listening as Ray Charles sang. Stand Up to Cancer also had its moment of hope and remembrance. A fireworks di

THAT WAS AN UNBELIEVABLE FINISH
The 2026 MLB Home Run hitting contest was so much fun and ended in dramatic fashion. I Hope you got to witness this fun event to start the Major League Baseball All Star festivities-- if not, here's what you missed. The annual MLB Home Run hitting contest had some changes this year with 8 hitters getting 20 swings in the first round and 15 in each of the final two rounds -- however a home run on your last swing each round would allow you another swing-- and after fourth year

3 Run Rally in 9th Sinks Nationals
Leading into the All-Star break, the New York Yankees, the Bronx Bombers came to Nationals Park for a 3 game series. The Yankees have been without Aaron Judge since May 31st and Giancarlo Stanton since April 24th. They’ve been through a rough stretch lately and have lost 11 of their last 14 games. But they’re still a formidable team and sit at 51-42 in the American League East, four games behind the Tampa Bay Rays. And now for game one… Ben Rice started things off for th

Nationals Back on Track…Defeat Astros 8-2
Going into tonight’s game, the Washington Nationals stood 3 ½ games out of a Wild Card slot. That might sound pretty decent until you realize there’s two teams ahead of us in that race to the playoffs. Let’s go, Nats… Foster Griffin, the ace of the pitching staff on the mound tonight for the home team . Good vibes… Washington started the scoring in the bottom of the 3rd after a couple of walks and a fly out left James Wood on third and Luis Garcia on first. CJ Abrams’ sac

Washington Wins Wild One Over Astros 12-11
Miles Mikolas was able to start the game tonight for the Nationals even though he’s technically been suspended. His appeal hadn’t been answered as of game time. Cade Cavalli’s appeal did come through and his suspension was lowered from 7 games to 5, which is usually what happens. That means he won’t even miss a start. Doesn’t make much sense. What was the point of the suspension? Tonight’s attendance 11,092. Hold on…here we go! Top of the 1st, Isaac Paredes walked and Christi
