Cade Cavalli pitched a masterpiece in this afternoon’s game, going 8 innings and giving up a single hit, while walking 2 and striking out 10. Cavalli surrendered only a bloop single to left field in the 7th inning off the bat of Cubs’ first baseman, Michael Busch. Chicago’s starter Kevin Gausman pitched into the 5th inning before the Nationals finally got their offense going. Neither team had a base runner through the first 3 innings. Only the second time that had happened in

Nats Blown Out Again 12-6
Well, that little bit of momentum the Nationals thought they had after a three-game sweep of the Reds has come to a screeching halt with their second straight loss to the visiting Chicago Cubs. The Nationals actually started off the scoring in the bottom of the 2nd. Harry Ford singled to right and was followed by another single off the bat of Andrew Pinckney. Jacob Young hit into a force out that moved the runners up a base. Daylen Lile then ran out an infield single scoring

Each team slugged 3 home runs but the Cubs scored more total runs and went on to win the game 8 to 6. The game turned into a contest between their relief pitchers and ours. Each team used 4 hurlers from the bull pen. There’s were just a little better. The Nationals started fast in the bottom of the 1st. With 2 outs, Brady House singled to right field. THE RECIPE FOR A SUCCESSFUL SEASON IN THE NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE
There are very few professional sports that created an infrastructure which by it’s very nature allows a team to go worst to first in a single season. Last season the New England Patriots did just that by winning their Division and the American Football Conference before losing 29-13 in Super Bowl LX to the Seattle Seahawks. Since 2002 with the new format, (8 - four team Divisions) twenty-seven teams have risen from last place to win their Division the following year. You mig

Nats Lose Seventh in a Row…
It just keeps getting worse for the Nationals. James Wood was placed on the 10-day injured list before tonight’s game after straining his left oblique while at-bat in last night’s game vs. the Phillies. An MRI showed a mild strain, and manager Blake Butera was hoping Wood would return soon. And the losing streak continued with the Nationals going down with barely a whimper in tonight’s game against the Phillies. Carson Palmquist started tonight for the Nats. He has and 0-5 re
