WEEK 2 RESULTS IN THE NFL

Underdogs made their appearance in week 2 of the National Football League‼️ Seven visiting teams came away with victories and five of them were not expected to win. It took just 2 weeks for the madness to surface this season and I expect it to continue throughout the rest of this season. Heading into Week 3, eight teams have yet to win a game and eight teams have not lost a game. Five games this week feature those teams head on head; Texans (0-2) @ Colts (0-2) Chargers (0-2) @ Bills (2-0) Chiefs (2-0) @ Dolphins (0-2) Vikings (2-0) @ Buccaneers (0-2) and the defending Super Bowl Champion Seahawks (2-0) at the Commanders (0-2).

Commander's recap with a Week 3 preview— The Washington Commanders lost to the Dallas Cowboys 37-20 and in the game lost Quarterback Jayden Daniels with a non throwing arm injury. Diagnosed after the game as an elbow injury. This is Daniel’s 3rd injury to this elbow which pits his future in concern. The Cowboys jumped in front of the Commanders 17-3 before QB Jayden Daniels found WR Stefon Diggs in the end zone for a touchdown to cut the Cowboys lead to 17-10.

And then head coach Dan Quinn made a fatal decision that will affect the

Commanders hopes of making the Playoffs this season.

With 2 seconds remaining in the the First half, the Commanders were at the

Cowboys 2-yard line with 4th down.

Quinn chose to roll the dice, instead of kicking a Field Goal, ending the half

trailing 17-13 and with momentum scoring 10 consecutive points, he

decided to go for the Touchdown instead.

It turned out to be monumental mistake.

QB Jayden Daniels took the snap from Center and as he was dropping back, lost his footing, and fell on his elbow, dislocating it, and will be lost for several weeks. This is the exact injury Daniels suffered in week 9 last season that kept him out for 5 games.

Should have, could have, would have, if coach Quinn would have taken the

Field Goal and settled for the 3 points that most ‘experts’ would have

recommended, the Commanders would not be in the predicament they are

in now.

Backup QB Marcus Mariotta took over in the 2nd half and will start in

Daniel’s absence.

This is a critical stretch of games for the Burgundy and Gold squad. To have

any hope of making the playoffs this season they must win 2 of their next 3

games vs the Colts & Giants followed by a prime-time game with the 49ERS.
