COMMANDERS LOSE IN LONDON
The Washington Commanders lost a bizarre game to the Indianapolis Colts in London 30- 13. The team statistics at the end of the game would lead you to believe this game was close; The Commanders out-gained the Colts 317 to 257 in total yards but had only 12 first downs (Colts had 17), both teams possessed the Football for approximately 30 minutes (1/2 the game each). Both place kickers were perfect on their attempts, Stephens 2-2 and Shrader 3-3 for the Colts. Early in the fi

White Sox Use Five Pitchers in Shut Out of Guardians
There were four MLB playoff games today as the Division Series kicked off with the first games a best-of-five format. Here’s a little summary of the action: The Chicago White Sox used the highly efficient Relief-Pitcher strategy in shutting out the home team Cleveland Guardians in this afternoon’s game. Five White Sox hurlers surrendered only three hits while striking out twelve batters. Hagen Smith threw the first two and two-third innings, Bryan Hudson went just a third o

WEEK 2 RESULTS IN THE NFL
Underdogs made their appearance in week 2 of the National Football League‼️ Seven visiting teams came away with victories and five of them were not expected to win. It took just 2 weeks for the madness to surface this season and I expect it to continue throughout the rest of this season. Heading into Week 3, eight teams have yet to win a game and eight teams have not lost a game. Five games this week feature those teams head on head; Texans (0-2) @ Colts (0-2) Chargers (0-2)

CJ Abrams leads the Nationals to a Victory over the Tigers
I recently read somewhere that CJ Abrams wasn’t having that great of a second half of the season. If you agree with that statement then just keep on reading and see if this changes your mind. The Nationals struck first in tonight’s contest as CJ Abrams led off the top of the second inning with his 32nd home run of the year. 1-0 Washington. That’s the way it stayed until the Tigers tied it up in the bottom of the 6th. Kevin McGonigle led off the inning by striking out but

Nationals Look Flat in Motor City…Detroit 9 – Washington 2
Coming off their three-game series with National League rival St. Louis, the Nats looked a little downtrodden while starting another three-game series in Detroit, Michigan. Just as an aside…why are we playing the Tigers in the last week of the season? Who okayed that schedule? Detroit started fast and then activated the cruise control. Gleyber Torres led off the bottom of the first with a walk. Hao-Yu Lee then doubled to right field scoring Torres. Eduardo Valencia sing

Nationals Defeat theCardinals…Cavalli Wins Again
Weekend in review… Friday, September 18th The current ace of the Washington Nationals’ pitching staff, Cade Cavalli, won his 13th game of the season tonight with five shutout innings. Cade gave up four hits while striking out six Cardinals. He was probably taken out of the game a little early due to the Nationals having a big lead. Three relievers finished it off while only surrendering a single run. The Nationals got off to a fast start tonight in St. Louis. With one out in

Friday, September 11th Finally…the Washington Nationals scored some late inning runs and then held on for a 4-3 victory over the visiting Los Angeles Angels. Nationals Lose Eighth Straight Road Game in 3-2 Loss to San Diego
After a tough three-game series against the evil Los Angeles Dodgers, the Nationals were looking for an easier time tonight in San Diego. But the road-losing streak continues. The Padres started the scoring in the bottom of the first. With two outs, Manny Machado doubled to right field. Ty France followed with a base on balls. Jackson Merrill then singled to right, scoring Machado. 1-0 Padres. San Diego got a couple more in the bottom of the third. Fernando Tatis singled to r

Nationals’ Late Rally Falls Short Against the Dodgers
Friday, August 4th There are just those games you see on your schedule at the beginning of the year and say maybe a couple of things. Number one…I hope we’re still in the running for a playoff spot so this game or series will mean something….and number two… These are going to be some difficult games for us because this is a great team, and we never play that well against them. So that’s where we stand this weekend with our three-game series against the Dodgers in Los Angeles.

Washington Takes Down the Braves and it Feels so Good
A couple of newcomers made auspicious debuts in tonight’s game against the division leading Atlanta Braves. And we loved every minute of it. The Braves started the scoring in the top of the 2nd as Ozzie Albies hit his 21st home run to center field. 1-0 Atlanta. The Nats took the lead in the bottom of the 2nd. With one out, Harry Ford walked and advanced to 3rd base on a double by Jorbit Vivas. With two outs, CJ Abrams singled in Ford and Vivas. Dylan Crews walked, advancing A

Ravens Ravage Commanders 41-3 in Final Exhibition Game
RAVENS RAVAGE COMMANDERS 41-3 IN FINAL EXHIBITION GAME Let’s hope the last two exhibition games are not an indication of how this season is going to play out for the Washington Commanders. From the opening kickoff until the game clock struck 00:00, the Baltimore Ravens dominated our home town boys. For the 2nd consecutive week the Commanders lost both sides of the line of scrimmage. It took the Ravens just 8 plays to score a touchdown on their first possession. Backup Quarter

Washington Back on Track; Win Series over Miami
The Washington Nationals have been quite inconsistent lately. A blown ninth inning lead in yesterday’s game; and five innings of scoreless relief today. But that’s what happens when you have a team trying to find its way. Tonight’s game was scoreless until the top of the fourth. Heriberto Hernandez started off the inning with a base on balls. Singles by Agustin Ramirez and Javier Sanoja loaded the bases. A wild pitch sent Hernandez home. Kyle Stowers then stroked a two-run si

COMMANDERS GROUNDED BY LIONS
In their first preseason game with the Dolphins, the Commanders controlled the line of scrimmage; that was not the case in their 17 - 13 loss to the Detroit Lions on Saturday August 22, in Detroit. The exhibition game could not have started any better for the Commanders. On the Lions’ initial series following the Kick off, Commanders Linebacker, Amik Robertson, forced a fumble when he came untouched on a blitz off the Left side and found a clear path to the Lions’ Quarterback

Rockies Romp the Nats 13-1
It’s getting kind of tough to watch… The Washington Nationals fell to the lowly Colorado Rockies 13 to 1 this evening in an obvious total blow out. The Nationals recorded their only run in tonight’s game when Andres Chaparro led off the bottom of the 2nd with his 9th home run. 1-0 Nats. The rest of the evening was all Colorado… The Rockies took the lead in the top of the 5th. Connor Norby led off the inning with a walk and came home courtesy of Troy Johnston’s 4th homer to ri

Rockies Roll the Nationals 3-1
After yesterday’s thirteen-run outburst, things got back to normal in tonight’s game against the Colorado Rockies, as the Washington Nationals could only muster a single run on four hits, while striking out ten times. Colorado snapped their seven-game losing streak with tonight’s victory. The Rockies started the scoring in the top of the 4th as Hunter Goodman led off with a 432 ft. home run, his 35th, to center field. Goodman returned to the Rockies’ lineup tonight after spen
