Vice President Kamala Harris' video as she laughed as she answered a question about the illegal immigration crisis sparked a storm of criticism on Monday as the administration continued to grapple with its messages amid mounting borders.

Harris answered the question while speaking to reporters outside Air Force Two in Florida, as he was promoting the latest package containing COVID-19 relief as part of a nationwide bombing.

When asked if he has "plans to visit" the Southern Border, Harris stops, then replied, "Not today" and laughs.

A video of the exchange quickly spread on social media, angering Republicans who indicated that the vice president is not taking the border situation with the seriousness it deserves.
