Washington, D.C.— In a MAGA Style and much-needed statement on Truth Social, President Donald Trump laid down the law and put the failed leadership of Washington, D.C. on notice: Clean up the streets — or the federal government will.

Citing a surge in violent crime by roving gangs of so-called “youths,” many as young as 14, Trump exposed the radical-left policies that have allowed criminals to run rampant across the nation’s capital. Innocent citizens are being mugged, attacked, and in some tragic cases, even killed — all while soft-on-crime politicians look the other way.
“These thugs know they’ll be released within hours,” Trump wrote. “They are not afraid of Law Enforcement because nothing ever happens to them. But that’s going to change — now!”
The facts are undeniable: under Democrat-run local government, D.C. has become a dangerous cesspool of lawlessness, where criminals rule the streets and law-abiding Americans live in fear. Even the media can no longer hide it. The real question is — how long will the American people tolerate it?
Trump didn't mince words. Calling for the prosecution of violent juvenile offenders as adults starting at age 14, Trump outlined a return to law and order that Americans are desperate for.
“If D.C. doesn’t get its act together quickly, we will have no choice but to take Federal control,” he declared. “We will run this City how it should be run, and put criminals on notice.”
The response online was explosive. Patriots from all across the country hailed Trump’s no-nonsense stance as the only way forward. “It’s about time someone stood up for the victims,” one user wrote. “Let’s Make America Safe Again!”
For years, liberal leaders in D.C. have pushed woke, pro-criminal policies that have gutted police departments, empowered thugs, and left regular Americans defenseless. Trump’s statement signals that those days may soon be over.
“If this continues, I am going to exert my powers, and FEDERALIZE this City,” Trump warned.
The time for weakness is over. The time for strength is now. President Trump has once again shown the leadership this nation needs — and the resolve to restore safety, sanity, and justice to America’s streets.
