MCWS game 2 –
Sunday in Omaha, the Oklahoma Sooners had an opportunity to win the Division 1 College Baseball World Series and did not waste anytime in their pursuit as they jumped out to a lead over the North Carolina Tar Heels in the first inning scoring two runs on two hits -- But the Boys in Blue put a hold on that celebration by holding the Sooners to no Runs and just 2 hits the next 8 innings winning 6-2 and forcing a game 3 for Baseballs Division 1 College Championship on Monday night .
The comeback started for the Tar Heels in the third inning when SS Jake Schaffner triple in two runs and then scored on a wild pitch to give North Carolina a 3 to 2 lead and they never look back. The Boys in Blue added a run in the fifth inning on Owen Hull's 9th HR of the season -- his team leading 86th RBI and Cooper Nicholson added some breathing room with a 2 Run shot his 17th of the season in the 7th extending their lead to 6-2.
That was more than enough support for North Carolina starting pitcher Ryan Lynch ( 4 IP 3 Hits 2 Runs 5 K's ) and College Baseballs most outstanding Pitcher of 2026 Caden Gluber ( 5 IP 1 Hit 0 Runs 8 K's ) the 2 combined to shut out the Sooners the final 8 innings on just 2 hits ‼️ FINAL SCORE 6 - 2
Game 3 on Monday night with the winner being crowned the National Champion. Game 3 otta be a doozy -- DON'T MISS IT‼️ DAVES DIME -- Tar Heels Pitcher Caden Gluber is 12–0 on the season with the Tar Heels winning ALL 29 games he has appeared in this season -- THAT'S A HECK OF A SEASON‼️
