President Joe Biden denied Gov. Gretchen Whitmire's request for more vaccinations. On Friday, he held a press conference, in which he presented his efforts to obtain more vaccines, despite the President's refusal of his call to action.

Jeff Zients, the White House coordinator for the COVID-19 response, said at a conference on Friday that the White House will continue to distribute vaccines based on population.

"There are tens of millions of people across the country in every state and territory who have not yet been vaccinated," Zients said.
