President Donald J. Trump is once again proving that America is back in charge of world affairs. On Monday afternoon, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived at the White House for crucial talks with President Trump and European leaders—talks that could finally bring an end to the grinding war in Ukraine.
Just days after his groundbreaking meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska, Trump sat beside Zelensky in the Oval Office and made a promise that shook the global establishment: “The war is going to end.”
The message was clear—Trump is positioning himself as the world’s only serious peacemaker, something his critics in the Washington swamp and foreign policy elite said could never happen.
Trump revealed that a trilateral meeting between himself, Zelensky, and Putin is being planned. “If everything works out well today we’ll have a trilateral meeting, and I think there will be a reasonable chance of ending the war when we do that,” Trump said. He added that without such a summit, the fighting is likely to drag on.
Zelensky, who has struggled to gain traction with past U.S. leaders, warmly embraced Trump’s plan, saying: “We are ready for a trilateral, as the President said, it’s a good signal.”
For months, European bureaucrats and Biden-era leftovers pushed endless “talks” that led nowhere, while thousands died on the battlefield. Trump is now cutting through the noise, putting the two key players—Ukraine and Russia—at the same table, with America firmly in the lead.
Russia has yet to commit, but Trump announced he would personally call Putin today to secure the trilateral. Unlike weak past administrations, Trump is showing the world that he won’t take no for an answer when it comes to peace. “I can never say that, it’s never the end of the road. People are being killed and we want to end it,” Trump declared, stressing there is still “a good chance of doing it.”
This is the leadership America voted for: strength, diplomacy, and results. While global elites have profited from endless war, Trump is focused on what matters—peace, stability, and putting America back in control.
Once again, Trump is proving what he said all along: without him, wars never end. With him, peace is possible.
