President Donald J. Trump has unleashed one of the boldest national-security moves in modern American history. In a decisive Nov. 23 interview with Just the News, the president confirmed that he is preparing to formally designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a Foreign Terrorist Organization—a step prior administrations were too weak, too compromised, or too politically correct to take.
“It will be done in the strongest and most powerful terms,” Trump declared, a line now echoing across Washington. According to reporting, final documents are already being drawn, signaling that the president is ready to do what generations of establishment politicians refused to do: confront radical Islamist networks head-on.
The Muslim Brotherhood Founded in 1928 by Hassan al-Banna, the Muslim Brotherhood has built an international ideological empire—one that seeks full political Islamization of society, law, and government.
Experts at George Washington University describe the Brotherhood’s program as an “all-encompassing Islamist system” designed to reshape every aspect of public and private life. For nearly a century, the movement has influenced extremist offshoots, preached hostility to Western democracy, and infiltrated civil society under the banner of “charity” and “activism.”
Many nations—Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Austria, and Jordan—have already banned or designated the group. Jordan outlawed the Brotherhood earlier this year, warning that its members “operate in the dark” and “destabilize the country.”
If Middle Eastern nations can recognize the danger, Trump argues, there is no excuse for America to look the other way.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed in August that the administration had resumed the designation process, first initiated during Trump’s first term but stalled by bureaucrats and legal activists who consistently shield extremist organizations from scrutiny.
“All of that is in the works,” Rubio said, noting that designating the Brotherhood is complex because it operates through numerous branches designed to blur accountability. He warned that legal challenges were inevitable, stating, “Any group can say, ‘We’re not terrorists.’”
But Trump’s message is clear, America will no longer let radical networks hide behind nonprofits, lobbying operations, or political activism.
During his earlier briefing, Rubio was asked why the administration wasn’t simultaneously moving to designate CAIR, which critics say is tied to Brotherhood ideology and influence networks in the United States.
Rubio’s answer was blunt: “All of that is in the works.”
The implication is unmistakable:
The Trump administration is preparing the most sweeping crackdown on Islamist influence in American history.
For decades, U.S. policymakers tip-toed around the Muslim Brotherhood, terrified of political backlash, media outrage, and accusations of “Islamophobia.” Meanwhile, the Brotherhood expanded its networks, built influence inside Western institutions, and spread an ideology fundamentally incompatible with American values.
President Trump has broken that cycle.
With this move, he is telling the world:
America will defend its Christian-rooted civilization.
America will confront radical ideology with zero hesitation.
America will no longer bow to extremist organizations.
This is the leadership the world waited for.
This is the strength Americans voted for.
And this is why Donald J. Trump continues to reshape the course of history—one decisive action at a time.
