Trump Delivers Historic 108-Minute State of the Union, Declares America’s Golden Age Has Begun

Donald Trump delivered the longest State of the Union address in American history Tuesday night, speaking for 108 minutes before a joint session of Congress and setting a new presidential record.

The president began his remarks at 9:11 p.m. ET and concluded at 10:59 p.m. ET, surpassing the 100-minute mark he set during his 2025 joint address to Congress. For comparison, Bill Clinton previously held the modern-era record with an 89-minute address in 2000. Other lengthy speeches included Clinton’s 85-minute address in 1995 and multiple extended addresses delivered by Trump between 2018 and 2020.

During the speech, Trump declared, “The state of our Union is strong,” pointing to what he described as major achievements during his first year back in office.

Among the accomplishments highlighted:

  • Nine consecutive months with no illegal immigrants admitted into the interior of the United States, according to the administration.

  • A reported drop in murder rates in major cities to the lowest levels in more than a century.

  • A 2.4 percent rise in the consumer price index and 2.5 percent core inflation from January 2025 through January 2026.

  • Mortgage rates falling below 6 percent for the first time in four years.

  • The stock market reaching 53 record highs since his 2024 election victory.

  • $18 trillion in investment commitments into the United States.

  • Increased domestic oil production, including 600,000 barrels being produced and an additional 80 million barrels provided by Venezuela.

  • The creation of 70,000 new construction jobs.

  • 2.4 million Americans reportedly moving off food assistance programs.

  • The elimination of federal Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion policies and a broad reduction in regulations.

Trump had previewed the length of his remarks during a White House Angel Family Day event, telling supporters the speech would be long because “we have so much to talk about.”

The president also continues to hold the record for the longest presidential nomination acceptance speech, delivered at the 2024 Republican National Convention.

Tuesday night’s address focused heavily on border enforcement, economic performance, energy production, and deregulation, themes that have defined the administration’s second term agenda.

With the 108-minute address, Trump now holds the record for the longest State of the Union speech ever delivered, marking another historic milestone in his presidency.
