Trump Delivers Again: Landmark Deal With Pfizer Slashes Drug Prices, Brings Manufacturing Back to America

“America First” promise, President Donald J. Trump announced a historic deal today with pharmaceutical giant Pfizer, marking a major victory for American taxpayers and patients. Speaking from the White House, President Trump revealed that Pfizer has agreed to offer several of its life-saving drugs to U.S. consumers at significantly reduced prices — a move that will save Americans hundreds of millions of dollars each year.

“This will save American taxpayers and consumers hundreds of millions of dollars a year,” Trump declared, standing firm on his long-held commitment to take on Big Pharma and fight for the American people.

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. praised the President’s leadership, stating, “Today is about another promise made by President Trump, and another promise kept by President Trump.”

For decades, global pharmaceutical corporations have charged U.S. consumers far more than patients in other developed nations, taking advantage of weak leadership and corporate favoritism. President Trump, refusing to bow to Big Pharma, issued an executive order in May mandating that Americans should pay no more than the lowest price charged in other wealthy nations.

Now, Pfizer has become the first major company to sign on to Trump’s revolutionary reform.

“This is what leadership looks like,” said one senior administration official. “For years, politicians promised to take on drug prices — President Trump actually did it.”

In typical Trump fashion, the President didn’t just ask politely — he demanded results. Over the summer, the Trump Administration sent letters to 17 pharmaceutical companies, including Pfizer and Eli Lilly, warning them to “step up” and lower prices or face the full power of federal action.

President Trump made it clear that he would “deploy every tool in our arsenal” — and Big Pharma listened.

Standing alongside Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla, the President praised the company for doing the right thing.

“He’s doing the right thing,” Trump said. “This is what happens when you put America First — companies start to follow.”

The deal isn’t just about lower prices — it’s about bringing jobs and factories back to American soil. As part of the agreement, Pfizer will invest $70 billion to construct new pharmaceutical manufacturing plants in the United States, securing American supply chains and creating thousands of high-paying jobs.

In exchange, Pfizer will receive a three-year grace period from the new tariffs on foreign-made drugs, which President Trump had threatened to impose starting October 1.

This move mirrors the President’s broader economic strategy: use tariffs as leverage to bring industry back home and rebuild America’s manufacturing strength.

“Tariffs work,” Trump said earlier this week. “If you want to sell in America, you need to build in America.”

The White House confirmed that similar discussions are underway with Eli Lilly and other major drugmakers. Trump’s message is clear: if you want access to the world’s largest market, you must put Americans first — in pricing and in production.

Pfizer acknowledged that today’s agreement was a direct response to President Trump’s letter and the administration’s tough stance.

“President Trump’s leadership has created the environment where companies must do right by the American people,” Kennedy Jr. said. “This is a victory for patients, taxpayers, and the future of U.S. healthcare.”

From energy independence to border security to trade renegotiations, Donald Trump has consistently defied the establishment to deliver tangible results for the American people. Today’s pharmaceutical breakthrough is yet another example of Trump’s America First agenda in action — challenging corporate greed and standing up for working families.

While past administrations bowed to lobbyists, President Trump has taken on the pharmaceutical cartel head-on, demanding fairness and patriotism from global corporations that have long profited at America’s expense.

“Every American should be proud today,” said Kennedy Jr. “This is what real leadership looks like — fighting for the people, not the powerful.”

With this deal, President Donald Trump has once again proven that his word is his bond. Lower drug prices, stronger domestic manufacturing, and billions in new American investment — another victory for the America First movement and another promise kept by the 47th President of the United States.

As Trump often says, “We will make America strong again. We will make America wealthy again. We will make America great again.”

Today, that promise took another giant step forward.
