Jerusalem, Israel — In a historic moment that echoed across the halls of the Knesset, President Donald J. Trump — America’s 47th President — delivered a speech that will be remembered as a defining chapter in the rebirth of peace and strength in the Middle East. Speaking to roaring applause and chants of “Trump! Trump! Trump!” from Israeli lawmakers, the President declared the “beginning of a golden age for Israel, the Middle East, and the free world.”
Moments earlier, Israel celebrated the safe return of the final 20 hostages held by Hamas — a victory that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu credited directly to President Trump’s leadership. “With the unremitting help of President Trump,” Netanyahu said, “we have fulfilled the sacred promise to bring our people home.” He went on to call Trump “the greatest friend Israel has ever had in the White House.”
Trump began his address with an unmistakable message — peace through strength. “It would be great if we could make a peace deal with Iran,” he told the Knesset. “But first, we have to get Russia done.”
In his signature style, Trump made it clear that while America seeks peace, it will not bow to weakness. “We are ready when you are,” he said, directing his words to Tehran. “And it will be the best decision that Iran has ever made.”
He praised Israel’s military might, calling it “the most courageous and effective force in the Middle East”, and emphasized the joint success of Operation Rising Lion, which crushed the remnants of Hamas and dismantled Hezbollah’s terror networks with U.S. intelligence and technological support.
Referencing the atrocities of October 7 — “the worst slaughter of Jews since the Holocaust” — Trump reaffirmed America’s eternal bond with Israel. “The United States of America grieved alongside you,” he said solemnly. “We share two everlasting vows: never forget and never again.”
He lauded the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) for their “bravery and incredible skill,” crediting their success to “the unity of purpose between the Israeli people, the U.S. military, and divine providence.”
In his remarks, Trump praised the Abraham Accords, the landmark peace agreements his first administration forged, as the “foundation for a new era of prosperity.” He called on more nations to join, reminding them that “those who set aside their differences and reject terror are now among the most successful in the region.”
He delivered a stern warning to Tehran: “Renounce terrorism. Stop threatening your neighbors. End the funding of militant proxies. And finally, recognize Israel’s right to exist.”
Trump also pledged full support for Lebanon’s new president in disarming Hezbollah, calling it “a mission vital for peace.”
As he addressed the chamber, a left-wing Israeli member briefly interrupted — only to be swiftly removed amid thunderous applause. Trump smiled and remarked, “That was very efficient,” drawing laughter and cheers from across the floor.
He then turned to Prime Minister Netanyahu and said warmly, “Well, see now you can be a little bit nicer, Bibi — you’re not at war anymore.”
The President’s remarks concluded with a message of faith and optimism. “This will be remembered as the moment that everything began to change,” he said. “Like the USA right now, this will be the golden age of Israel — and the golden age of the Middle East.”
Capitol Times Editorial Note:
President Trump’s address marks a powerful reminder that peace is not achieved through appeasement — but through faith, strength, and moral clarity. Under Trump’s leadership, America has once again embraced its role as the defender of liberty and the protector of God’s chosen nation, Israel.
The Middle East stands on the brink of a new dawn — one not born of weakness, but of courage, conviction, and divine purpose.
