Shares take on Trump/DeSantis 2024 run as Elon Musk responds to Trump's criticism
In response to former United States President Donald Trump's criticism of Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Musk has taken to Twitter.
A statement Musk made in mid-June claiming to have voted Republican for the first time in the midterm primaries contradicted Trump's statement that Musk had told him privately he had won Musk's vote in 2016.
“You know what he said the other day? ‘Oh, I’ve never voted for a Republican,’” Trump said to a full house at the Alaska Airlines Center on Saturday. “I said, ‘I didn’t know that.’ He told me he voted for me. So he’s another bull—t artist.”
“I don’t hate the man, but it’s time for Trump to hang up his hat & sail into the sunset,” Musk wrote on Monday night in response to a video of Trump’s comments. “[Democrats] should also call off the attack—don’t make it so that Trump’s only way to survive is to regain the Presidency.”
Musk recently turned down the acquisition of Twitter, which is pending a showdown between Trump and Musk.
