The Biden Administration is facing opposition from radical environmental groups, not Republicans, as it announces drastic steps toward its green energy scheme.
Biden declared the green energy agenda to be a national emergency at the end of the first quarter, which activated the Defense Production Act of 1950, which made green energy a national security issue.
“I hereby determine, pursuant to … the act that: sustainable and responsible domestic mining, beneficiation, and value-added processing of strategic and critical materials for the production of large-capacity batteries for the automotive, e-mobility, and stationary storage sectors are essential to the national defense;” read a White House statement issued March 31.
The Biden Administration is subsidized to reopen U.S. mines that were once closed by Congress and are now allowed to operate again under Biden's direction.
