New York City police have arrested a suspect in connection with a series of stabbing attacks on the city subway that left two people dead, authorities announced Sunday.
The New York Police Department said on Twitter that Rigoberto Lopez is charged with first-degree murder, two counts of second-degree murder, and two counts of attempted second-degree murder.
The four unjustified attacks appeared to have targeted the homeless and took place on the A-train or at its stations until Friday morning.
