New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio Warns Coronavirus Could ‘Shut Down’ NYC Economy Again

Just two days after breaking social distancing guidelines, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio warned residents that the increase in positive coronavirus cases could lead to more closures and restrictions.


“God forbid, this continues and we had a whole second wave.” De Blasio said, “It means more restrictions,” as the positivity rate continues to exceed 2% in New York City. “That might mean, unfortunately, having to shut down parts of our economy once Another thing, which would be terrible for this city and terrible lives. That might mean having to close our schools ... ''
