Washington, D.C. — Hollywood star and outspoken leftist Lena Dunham took center stage at a “Transgender Day of Visibility” rally on Monday, using her platform to attack the Trump administration and push a radical gender ideology. Dunham, best known for her controversial HBO series Girls and a slew of other progressive projects, made it clear that she views so-called "trans liberation" as the ultimate cause of our time—ignoring the real concerns of everyday Americans who value faith, family, and biological reality.

Speaking to a crowd of activists in Washington, D.C., Dunham decried what she called “horrific government abuses,” blaming the Trump administration for policies that uphold common-sense protections for women, children, and parental rights. In her speech, she portrayed transgender ideology as a moral necessity, despite the growing concerns of parents, medical professionals, and faith leaders who have warned of its dangers.
“When my sibling came out as trans, I learned that I had never actually had a sister at all,” Dunham declared, showcasing the left’s ever-changing definitions of identity and truth. Rather than affirming the beauty of God's design, Dunham fully embraced the progressive mantra that gender is fluid and self-determined—an idea that flies in the face of both science and Scripture.
This speech comes at a time when radical gender activists are pushing for unrestricted access to irreversible medical interventions for children, forcing faith-based organizations to bow to the LGBTQ agenda, and attempting to silence anyone who dares to disagree. Meanwhile, the media and Hollywood elites continue to demonize conservative voices who stand for biblical truth and biological reality.
The Trump administration has been a strong defender of religious liberty and parental rights, opposing policies that would strip parents of their authority to make decisions for their children regarding gender confusion. Yet, to Dunham and her fellow activists, these protections are nothing more than "hatred and misunderstanding."
For Christians and conservatives, this latest outburst from Hollywood serves as a reminder of the cultural battle at hand. Now, more than ever, we must stand firm in our commitment to God’s truth, protecting our children and families from an agenda that seeks to undermine His perfect creation.
As Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness.”
The real question is: Will America continue to stand for faith and family, or will we allow the voices of Hollywood elites to dictate our moral compass?
