Five years after January 6, the American people are once again forced to endure recycled lies from Hillary Clinton, a two-time presidential loser who appears determined to rewrite history rather than face it.

On Tuesday, Clinton falsely claimed on X that President Donald Trump “urged his supporters to attack Congress and the Capitol.” She wrote: “Five years ago today, Donald Trump urged his supporters to attack Congress and the Capitol over a proven lie… Trump then pardoned the attackers. He betrayed his oath and his country, and we won’t ever forget it.”
That statement is not only false—it is demonstrably false.
On January 6, 2021, President Trump explicitly told his supporters to act peacefully. His exact words are on video, recorded, and publicly available:
“I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.”
At no point—none—did Trump urge anyone to attack Congress or the Capitol. Clinton’s claim is made up out of whole cloth.
Even more inconvenient for the Clinton narrative is the fact that Trump requested additional National Guard protection ahead of January 6—requests that were rejected by then–House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a Democrat whose financial ethics have long raised eyebrows on Capitol Hill.
This is not a misunderstanding. It is a pattern.
For years, Democrats and their allies in the media have relied on distortion, selective editing, and outright falsehoods to turn January 6 into a political weapon. Clinton’s latest outburst fits neatly into that strategy: repeat the lie often enough and hope it becomes “truth.”
But five years later, Americans are no longer buying it.
By falsely stating that Trump “urged” violence—something directly contradicted by recorded evidence—Clinton may have wandered into legally dangerous territory. As history shows, Trump is not shy about defending himself in court when defamatory claims are made.
These endless smears surrounding January 6 must come to an end. The country deserves facts, not bitter revisionism from failed politicians who cannot accept reality.
Truth matters. And on January 6, the truth is not on Hillary Clinton’s side.
