Giffords Panics as America Restores the Right to Self-Defense

Gabby Giffords’ gun-control machine is melting down again — this time over a simple truth: Americans have the God-given right to defend themselves, no matter which state they’re standing in. Her group, “Giffords,” took to X with hysterical warnings about “extremists” pushing a “dangerous bill” that would let law-abiding citizens carry “hidden guns.”

What they’re actually attacking is freedom — specifically, Rep. Richard Hudson’s H.R. 38, the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act, a long-overdue protection for millions of responsible gun owners.

The Left calls it “dangerous.” Conservatives call it common sense. If a driver’s license is valid in all 50 states, why shouldn’t a concealed carry permit be? Criminals don’t respect state lines — but Giffords thinks the innocent should be disarmed as soon as they cross one.

National reciprocity removes those artificial barriers, ensuring Americans can protect their families everywhere. State rules on specific locations still apply, and responsible carriers will follow them — but the fundamental right to defend your life should never end at a border.

Giffords is wringing her hands because her long-cherished dream of a helpless population is slipping away. The American people are choosing strength, sovereignty, and safety.

And thanks to H.R. 38, self-defense is finally becoming a nationally recognized right — as it always should have been.
