According to Trump, the FBI, not him, colluded with Russia, reversing a long-held Democratic narrative. Trump denies the Russian collusion narrative categorically for years. Although mainstream media outlets continue to promote the idea that Trump colluded with Moscow to win the 2016 election, several investigations have found no evidence of such collusion.

On Saturday, during a rally in Ohio to support GOP candidates, Trump referred to the federal government's Russia investigation led by special counsel John Durham. An FBI informant was later made into a paid source of the Steele dossier that targeted Trump, according to a court filing from Durham's team last week.

“I think that sounds like a slightly Russian name,” Trump said during the event. “The foreign national fabricated some of the most ridiculous smears and lies in the phony Steele dossier. It was all phony.
