The affidavit supporting the search warrant at Trump's Mar-a-Lago home has been redacted. Former president Trump wants the affidavit unredacted immediately.

According to Trump, releasing the affidavit would be in the interest of transparency, he wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social, late that evening.

A very large number of gun-toting FBI agents, along with the Department of Justice, raided Mar-a-Lago, the home of the 45th President of the United States (who got more votes than any sitting President in our country's history!) Trump wrote on Truth Social, saying it was unjustified. However, as a matter of TRANSPARENCY, I would like the unredacted affidavit concerning this terrifying and shocking break-in released as soon as possible."

His call for the affidavit to be released comes after President Joe Biden’s administration on Aug. 15 asked a federal court to keep it shielded from the public, stating that releasing it would “irreparably harm the government’s ongoing criminal investigation.”
