Public records reveal that Robinson confessed the crime to his father — a 27-year veteran of the Washington County Sheriff’s Department. In a remarkable act of duty, his father immediately contacted law enforcement and ensured his son was secured before being taken into custody.

At a Thursday morning press conference, Utah Department of Public Safety (DPS) Commissioner Beau Mason stated that the shooter “appears to be of college age,” confirming that Robinson is indeed just 22 years old.

Breitbart News was the first to report details of Robinson’s identity and confession.

The investigation remains ongoing, and questions now turn to Robinson’s motives and possible political influences.
