President Joe Biden will meet with leaders of Walgreens, the Walt Disney Company, and Microsoft on Wednesday to discuss the COVID19 vaccine mandate recently announced by his administration for private companies.

The event will showcase companies that have instituted mandatory Covid-19 vaccination policies across their workforce, and how these requirements have dramatically improved vaccination rates among employees.

“This event will serve as a rallying cry for more businesses across the country to step up and institute similar measures,” said a White House official who spoke on background to preview the event.

Brad Smith, president of Microsoft, Bob Chapek, CEO of Walt Disney, Tim Boyle, president and CEO of Columbia Sportswear, and Roz Brewer, CEO of Walgreens Boots Alliance are among the business leaders who are scheduled to be at the meeting, according to a White House official.
