Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) has pledged to "do better" after security footage caught her without a mask inside a New York restaurant, in violation of a state regulation that requires people to wear masks indoors or show evidence of vaccination.

"We all need to do our share to help limit the spread of Omicron," Gillibrand told Fox News. "That means following state and local recommendations." "That involves me, and I will improve in the future."

"In a nutshell, the issue with New York politics. Before my manager can even urge her to put on a mask, my Senator blows by her. "I walked right past a huge sign that said masks necessary to enter,'" the proprietor stated.

"The Governor has ordered that the masks be worn. Whether we agree or not, we must follow our leaders as decent citizens. Her visitor is graciously dressed in one. "I presume Senator Gillibrand believes the Governor is mistaken or that she is unique and above the law," the post added.

Gillibrand has been outspoken in her support for COVID-19 vaccines and other related public health measures.
