5,000 jobs to be added by JetBlue in New York

Airlines in the United States are ramping up hiring plans amid a recovery in travel, with JetBlue Airways Corp announcing it will hire 5,000 workers throughout its New York operations this year.


After adding 16,000 new staff members last year, American Airlines Group Inc announced it planned to hire another 18,000 this year.


JetBlue announced it would be hiring for roles in airport operations, ground operations, technical operations, in-flight, information technology, and other support center positions.
