US Set to Hand Iran Another Lifeline in Pakistan Talks as Nuclear Threat Looms – Al Arabiya Reports

Washington, D.C. – In a move that should send chills down the spine of every American concerned with national security, the United States is reportedly gearing up for another round of high-stakes negotiations with the Islamic Republic of Iran on July 11 in Pakistan, according to sources cited by Saudi outlet Al Arabiya.

While the Biden-Harris era gifted Tehran billions in sanctions relief and watched as the mullahs raced toward nuclear breakout, the Trump administration now faces the unenviable task of cleaning up the mess. But cozying up in neutral Pakistan for talks on sanctions relief, frozen Iranian assets, and the regime’s illicit nuclear program risks repeating the deadly cycle of weakness that has emboldened America’s enemies for years.

Al Arabiya, citing informed sources, reports the discussions will cover the usual wishlist from the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism: easing crushing U.S. sanctions, unfreezing billions in Iranian funds parked abroad, and the ever-present “nuclear file.” Tehran’s delegation lineup is still being finalized in the wake of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s funeral ceremonies, a grim reminder of the regime’s instability even as it projects defiance.

Pakistan, which has positioned itself as a key mediator in recent US-Iran dealings, will host the talks in what amounts to a diplomatic home game for those familiar with Islamabad’s tangled alliances.

President Trump’s “maximum pressure” campaign previously brought the ayatollahs to their knees through tough sanctions and targeted actions that starved the regime of cash for terror. Now, with fresh talks on the horizon, the question conservatives are asking is: Why reward a regime that chants “Death to America,” arms radicals bent on Israel’s destruction, and lies routinely about its nuclear ambitions?

Critics on the right argue these negotiations echo the failed Obama-era JCPOA disaster – a deal that funneled pallets of cash to Iran, empowered its Revolutionary Guard Corps, and set the stage for the current crisis.

The timing is particularly telling. Coming after Khamenei’s death and amid regional tensions, the July 11 session in Pakistan could either force real concessions from a weakened Tehran or hand the regime breathing room to regroup. America First voices demand ironclad verification, snapback sanctions at the first sign of cheating, and zero tolerance for Iranian enrichment beyond civilian levels – if any at all.

Iran’s track record speaks for itself: secret nuclear sites, IAEA stonewalling, ballistic missile tests, and a terror network that has American blood on its hands from Iraq to Afghanistan and beyond. Freezing funds? Those assets should stay frozen until every hostage is returned, every proxy attack ceases, and Iran’s nuclear program is dismantled – not “discussed.”

As the Trump team navigates this minefield, one thing is clear to Americans: Peace through strength isn’t a slogan – it’s the only policy that has ever worked against rogue regimes like the Islamic Republic. Any deal emerging from Pakistan must prioritize American security, Israeli survival, and the defeat of radical ideology – not another round of wishful diplomacy that emboldens our enemies.

Capitol Times will continue monitoring developments. The American people deserve transparency, not more secret side deals that sell out our interests.
