Trump Strips Kamala Harris of Secret Service Protection — Ending Another Abuse of Power by the Radical Left

August 29, 2025 | Washington, D.C.

President Donald Trump has once again drawn a hard line against the endless political perks and abuses of power that defined the Biden years. On Friday, the White House confirmed that Trump revoked Secret Service protection for former Vice President Kamala Harris — a privilege Joe Biden had quietly and unilaterally extended beyond what the law allows.

Under U.S. law, former vice presidents are entitled to just six months of protection after leaving office. That’s it. But in a classic example of how Democrats bend rules to benefit their inner circle, Biden signed an executive memorandum giving Harris a whopping 18 months of taxpayer-funded security.

Trump’s decision is a return to the law — and a reminder that the days of endless political favors for failed leftist politicians are over.

Harris’ security detail will officially end on September 1st, freeing up agents to focus on critical assignments such as the upcoming United Nations General Assembly in New York — an event that actually matters for America’s security.

The Biden administration had already been caught extending Secret Service protection far beyond precedent. Hunter and Ashley Biden — both adults with no public role — were given extended taxpayer-funded protection. Alejandro Mayorkas, Biden’s disastrous Homeland Security Secretary who oversaw record-breaking illegal immigration, also enjoyed extended protection.

Trump revoked all of it. Why? Because it’s simple: the Secret Service is there to protect presidents, not to babysit corrupt, scandal-ridden, and politically irrelevant figures.

Let’s not forget who Kamala Harris is. She was the most unpopular vice president in modern history, a woman who ducked responsibility during the border crisis, laughed off questions about law and order, and campaigned on identity politics rather than substance. She launched a short-lived, humiliating presidential campaign last year after Biden bowed out — only to lose in spectacular fashion to Trump.

Now, Harris is setting her sights on a 15-city book tour to promote her memoir about “107 Days” — her pitiful, failed presidential bid. And Democrats think taxpayers should fund her security detail for that? Nonsense.

Trump is making it clear: there will be no special treatment for Democrats who weaponized government against the American people. Kamala Harris is a private citizen now. She has no claim on endless perks or federal resources. If she wants security for her book tour, she can hire private protection — just like any other author.

This is what accountability looks like. For too long, the Left has drained the American taxpayer to cover their own corruption, entitlement, and failures. Trump is reversing that trend, step by step.

Kamala Harris has spent her career demanding privileges and protections while attacking the values that make America strong. Now, she’ll have to face life as a private citizen without the taxpayer-funded safety net she once enjoyed.

President Trump is reminding America of a simple truth: laws matter. Privileges aren’t permanent. And failed leaders don’t get endless rewards for failure.
