Trump’s America Defies Global Inflation — Tariffs Not to Blame Despite Leftist Lies

The American economy under President Donald J. Trump continues to outpace the global competition — and once again, the Left’s favorite scare tactic about “tariff-driven inflation” has been exposed as a fraud.

A new report from the White House Council of Economic Advisers shows the United States is enjoying lower goods inflation than most of its international peers, even as global prices creep higher. While Europe, Mexico, and Canada struggle with rising costs, America is holding steady — thanks to strong leadership, secure borders, and a trade policy that puts American workers first.
For years, Democrats and their media allies screamed that Trump’s America First tariffs would send prices skyrocketing and crush consumers. But the facts say otherwise. Inflation on core goods here at home remains among the lowest in the world — just 1.2 percent over the past year — with actual U.S. increases running below predicted global averages.
“There is no evidence that tariffs have had any inflationary effect,” said Council director Stephen Miran in Senate testimony Thursday. That’s right: none. Zip. Zero. The same Leftists who claimed Trump’s tariffs would “destroy the economy” are now silent as their doomsday predictions collapse under the weight of hard data.
Instead, the White House report shows that global factors, not U.S. trade policies, are driving price shifts. In fact, import-heavy goods categories — the very ones Democrats insisted would spike under tariffs — have actually seen larger price declines since January.
This proves what President Trump and his supporters have said all along: strong borders, fair trade, and putting America First do not harm consumers — they protect them. While global elites bow to China and Brussels bureaucrats, Trump’s policies keep shelves stocked, prices stable, and the American worker in control.
Yet don’t expect the mainstream media to admit they were wrong. The same pundits who swore that tariffs spelled disaster will keep trying to twist numbers to fit their anti-Trump narrative. But Americans living paycheck to paycheck can see the truth: under Trump, America beats global inflation and wins the economic fight.
