The Four Dimensions (Dr. Yang's Model)
According to his model, the four dimensions of health are:
1.Anatomy — Physical structures, organs, systems
2.Biochemistry — Metabolic processes, hormones, neurotransmitters
3.Energy — Qi, meridians, flow of vital energy
4.Spirit — Spiritual/emotional aspects, Shen (spirit in Chinese medicine)
His core thesis is that modern medicine focuses too narrowly on anatomy and biochemistry while neglecting energy and spirit, which he believes contributes to chronic illnesses and mental health challenges.
The article starts here and is a reflection on my use of reason, logic & facts. I am not representing Dr Yang - His publications and conversations gave me another perspective.
Introduction: Four Dimensions, One Reality
For centuries, Western thought has fractured human existence into competing domains. Medicine handles the body. Psychology handles the mind. Religion handles the soul. Physics handles energy. But what if these divisions are artifacts of our measurement tools, not reflections of reality itself?
This article presents a unified framework: human beings are composed of anatomy, chemistry, energy, and spirit. Where spirit is matter itself, experienced from within. Consciousness distinguishes humanity not through unique substances but through complex organization. We are born into nature's chaos with four integrated dimensions, maturing toward wholeness within disorder.
Section 1: Anatomy—The Structural Foundation
Our bodies are organized hierarchically. From organ systems down to cells, molecules, and atoms, anatomical structures form the scaffolding of existence.
What this tells us: Structure precedes function. Anatomy enables chemistry. Chemistry enables energy conversion. Energy enables experience. None exist independently.
Section 2: Chemistry—The Process Language
Biochemistry explains virtually all physiological processes. Metabolism, neural signaling, hormone regulation, and cellular respiration all reduce to molecular interactions.

Every biological process consumes and transforms energy. The human body represents one of nature's most efficient energy conversion systems.

Here we enter territory where traditional science and philosophic inquiry meets epistemology (truths) . My background in differentiating philosophy from epistemology in writing coherent assessments, proven accurate over time credentials me in this area.

In Dr. Yang's Four Dimensional Medicine, this corresponds to Shen, the spiritual/emotional dimension in Chinese medicine. The innovation of this formulation bridges Eastern energetic philosophy with Western materialist frameworks, asserting that spirit operates within natural law rather than transcending it.
Measurement Through Action
If spirit equals matter with experiential properties, it cannot be measured like voltage or temperature. Instead, we measure it through observable actions:
The measurement protocol: Actions revealing intentions beyond survival optimization, indicate the spirit in operation. Not quantifiable with instruments, but identifiable through behavioral observation.

My claim requires precise formulation. Consciousness separates humans from other animals, not by kind, but by degree of recursive self-awareness.
What Humans Demonstrate That Animals Do Not
Animals display proto-consciousness, awareness, emotion, learning, social bonds. But the human capacity for recursive abstraction creates qualitative differences in how experience unfolds.

Perhaps consciousness exists across species in gradient form. I accept that. However, human uniqueness lies not in possession, but in amplification and recursion, the ability to reflect upon reflection itself.

We do not develop in controlled laboratories. We are born into nature's chaos: Unpredictable environments, competing pressures, limited resources, constant change.

Based on my conversations with Dr. Jingduan Yang's and his Four Dimensional Medicine framework, here is my distilled logic:

By denying the fourth dimension (spirit/matter experiencing itself), such philosophies leave anatomy, chemistry, and energy without purpose. Without consciousness as the organizing principle, the human being becomes indistinguishable from other biological organisms governed solely by survival imperatives.
The result: A reversion to the animal kingdom,not literally, but functionally. Violence, chaos, and class warfare become inevitable when spirit (meaning, moral choice, transcendence) is removed from the equation.
My warning: Any system claiming to explain human nature must account for all four dimensions. Remove one, and you create a pathological subset that cannot sustain genuine human flourishing.

All four are real. All four operate simultaneously. All four are necessary for complete human flourishing.
In nature's chaos, we mature not by escaping our condition but by integrating it. Anatomy grounds us. Chemistry sustains us. Energy drives us. Spirit directs us. Consciousness makes it meaningful.
This is the human story. This is the human equation. This is what it means to be born whole into a world designed for becoming.
Science may not be able to define what God is, but Logic proves there is a Spirit in all of us. Was it given by God or is it God? All I know, is logic identifies its existence. In my opinion, if you wish for internal peace and world peace among humans we all might want to accept the truth, that we all have a spirit to help guide us.

The Bipolar Condition
Spiritual Marxism is an oxymoron.
A spiritual person affirms all four dimensions of human existence. Marxism denies the fourth dimension entirely. Holding both positions simultaneously creates spiritual bipolarity, oscillating between integrating spirit (spiritual practice) and removing spirit (Marxist adherence) within the same person.
This is not a political disagreement. It is an ontological contradiction: affirming and denying the same dimension of reality at the same time.
The resolution is forced: Either retain spirit and abandon Marxism, or adopt Marxism and accept reversion to animal kingdom biology. There is no stable middle ground within logic.
