Shooting at Neighborhood in New York City, in Harlem one person is dead and eight people are injured

New York City police said Monday that a man was killed and eight others were wounded in an early-morning shooting in Harlem.



According to police, officers arrived about 12:40 a.m. to a report of a shooting on the footpath along the FDR Drive. They found five people injured, police said. Patients were transferred to hospitals for treatment.



Meanwhile, police said four more people were shot and are being treated in hospitals. Six men and two women were wounded in the attack, including a 21-year-old man who died at the hospital.



Investigators were still working on the case Monday and did not immediately have any information regarding the gathering or events leading up to the shooting.
