According to the U.S. Central Command, a rocket attack that targeted the Green Village base in northeast Syria failed to target any U.S. or coalition forces or equipment.
The launch point, about 5 kilometers (3 miles) away, was found to have a fourth rocket along with rocket tubes. The base was targeted with three 107 mm rockets on Sunday.
At least one U.S. military service member in Syria suffered a minor injury after the Green Village base was targeted by Iranian-backed militants last month.
As a result of the incident, the U.S. responded by killing two or three militants responsible for the attack.
An investigation is being conducted by the Central Command into a failed attack that occurred at approximately 7:05 p.m. Syria Local Time.
