After winning one of four spots up for grabs in the US House, the Associated Press reports that Sarah Palin will be on the ballot in November's general election.

Her two challengers are Tech millionaire Nick Begich III, who is backed by the Alaska Republican Party, and former state legislator Mary Peltola, a Democrat. Palin rose to fame more than a decade ago as John McCain's running mate. The fourth spot was still too early to call.

First-time Alaskan voters will use ranked voting systems in the special election. Results are likely to take days to finalize.
