NYC uses police buses and plastic sheeting to block the Rockefeller tree lighting from being seen

New York City celebrated the tree's official lighting at Rockefeller Center on Wednesday but tried to keep tourists from seeing it.


The FNTV video showed several people trying to watch the party, only to police buses and plastic sheeting to cling to their crippling vision:


One of the men attempted to photograph the tradition on black plastic while another appeared to photograph it through the windows of an NYPD bus.


Someone apparently broke the plastic cover and several people were seen huddling together between the vehicles:
