Kamala Harris contradicts Fauci: "We started from scratch" with COVID vaccines

US Election: Kamala Harris was born on October 20, 1964 in Oakland, California.

Vice President Kamala Harris appeared to contradict Dr. Anthony Fauci's positive evaluation of the vaccine plan from the administration of former President Donald Trump Sunday night.

Harris, in an interview with Axios, said that the administration of President Joe Biden had not inherited a vaccine plan from Trump. She said, "There were no national strategy or plan for [COVID-19] vaccines," adding: "We are starting from scratch."

Fauci practically used the exact phrase at a White House press conference last month: "We certainly don't start from scratch." Axios removed a social media post that indicated the apparent contradiction and reposted Harris' clip without comparing Fauci, and without explanation.
