Financial adviser Edward Prewitt is under fire by the top Republican on the House Oversight Committee over alleged suspicious foreign activities linked to Hunter Biden.

In a letter dated July 27 to Prewitt, a managing director for investments at Prewitt Mahler Tucker Private Wealth Management Group, Rep. James Comer wrote that banks have flagged more than 150 transactions from the Bidens' business dealings.

In his financial dealings, Hunter Biden avoided detection by using SMS messages to resolve these SARs, Comer said. During the time when U.S. banks flagged suspicious activity by the Biden family, you advised Hunter Biden on financial transactions."

In an effort to prevent criminal activities such as money laundering and tax evasion, U.S. banks are required to flag cash transactions exceeding $10,000 per day and automatically file SARs.
