Georgia's Republican lawmaker plans to challenge the metal detector's fine

Rep. Andrew Clyde, R-Ga., is planning to mount a court challenge of a $5,000 fine for refusing to walk through metal detectors to enter the House.
In a statement released on Monday, Clyde said he was taking the legal step because his appeal on the hefty fine was rejected.
"This now provides the legitimacy that I need to challenge this unconstitutional decision," he said of the metal detectors at the entrance to the floor of the House.
"While my team and I continue to await the announcement of a fine imposed on the Speaker, we are preparing for the next stage of this fight. I will take my case to federal court where I am confident that justice will be served," he said.
