Florida Governor Ron DeSantis antes have introduced comprehensive legislation aimed at addressing sinister foreign influence, particularly from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

"Over the past decade, the Chinese Communist Party has been careful and deliberate in its economic penetration around the world," DeSantis said at a press conference on March 1.

He added, "The Chinese Communist Party has made it its mission in its global expansion to be able to steal the intellectual property of our companies, our government, and our academic institutions, all in order to further its global goals."

"We need to act and stand firm against the Chinese Communist Party and foreign influence and interference in American research, education, and public affairs," the governor said.
