Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis attacked YouTube and its parent company Google on Monday, accusing the tech giant of censoring its decision last week to remove a discussion video about the coronavirus it hosted from its platform, as its panel criticized the shutdowns and use. Of the masks are ineffective.

DeSantis said YouTube's claim that the March 18 video violates the ban on spreading disinformation is an attempt to crack down on opposition against the federal government's response to the pandemic. That discussion included Dr. Scott Atlas, a radiologist who was a coronavirus advisor to former President Donald Trump, and other doctors who supported DeSantis' decision to open up the Florida economy with few restrictions.
