Expansion of Tesla's German plant delayed

Reports from Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (RBB) say Tesla Motors' plans to expand their German plant have been delayed indefinitely.

Arne Christiani, the local mayor of Grünheide, Brandenburg, near Berlin, has postponed the vote on an electric vehicle plant there.

In order to add new production capability and expand a freight depot, Tesla requested permission to expand the 750-acre site of the factory by a third.

Tesla's "gigafactory" is located just one hour by car from the EV giant's Grünheide location, where the company has auto factories and battery plants.

Before the meeting of the municipal council, Christiani removed the item from the agenda for an unknown reason.
