Twitter has reinstated the account of Representative Elise Stefanik, the communications director, after suspending it in “error,”, although director Karoline Leavitt insists it was "a purge in her ongoing effort to silence the conservative voices."
A Twitter spokesperson told media outlets that Leavitt’s account freeze was accidental. At the time of this report, her account is back up.
The spokesman said that the account "was suspended by mistake," adding that this step "was retracted and the account was returned."
