Today Stephanie and I Received a Press Release from Kim Yeater, Don Bohana’s Publicist.

The Press Release Is Located Below My Short Article. Please Contact Kim Yeater for More

Details.

Many Months ago, an acquaintance reached out with a plea to regarding a grave injustice

suffered by her friend, Don Bohana. Initially, I was hesitant. I had zero professional

experience in criminal law or clemency proceedings, and I told my acquaintance exactly

that. However, I promised to listen. I called Don.

What followed was not just a conversation, but the beginning of a journey that has

solidified one of my top interview and research priorities: the immediate pardon of Don

Bohana.

The Path to Truth

Upon speaking with and then meeting with Don, I did not rely solely on his words. I had my

own reasons to believe him, due to past experiences meeting people with such character

and courage as Don. I decided to be engaged one of my most trusted analysts—an

investigative expert—to review the case file independently. This analyst provided a

comprehensive assessment which we then ran through our AI systems to cross-reference

legal precedents, procedural anomalies, and evidence chains.

The convergence of three independent voice ---my personal meetings with Don, the

analyst's forensic review, and our AI's data verification—revealed a disturbing pattern: a

manufactured wrongful conviction.

The Core of the Injustice

In a recent correspondence, Don outlined the specific failures he wishes to expose before a

criminal justice committee in Washington DC. His testimony centers on a tragic event: the

accidental drowning of Dolores Jackson, the sister-in-law of the late Michael Jackson.

Don argues that the Los Angeles County criminal justice system did not seek the truth; it

sought a narrative. He asserts that:

1. Celebrity Status Co-opted the System: The immense fame of the Jackson family

allegedly overwhelmed local judicial protocols, pressuring authorities to secure a

conviction regardless of the facts.

2. Systemic Contamination: He claims this "celebrity infection" spread beyond the

courtroom, corrupting the California parole system via Marcy Law (laws governing

special consideration in cases involving celebrities), effectively locking away an

innocent man based on public perception rather than evidentiary reality.

3. Irrefutable Evidence Exists: Don states he possesses third-party written evidence

that proves the conviction was wrongfully manufactured.

A Question for the Current Administration

This led me to a critical question: Why has Governor Gavin Newsom not already

pardoned Don Bohana?

If the evidence is as clear as Don suggests, and if the miscarriage of justice is so rooted in

the abuse of celebrity influence, why has the state remained silent? Is it bureaucratic

inertia? Is it fear of challenging the established narrative surrounding high-profile figures?

Or is there a deeper resistance to correcting past errors when the spotlight was once

blindingly bright?

My Pledge

I believe that one of the media's duties is to be the guardians against injustice. No one

should remain imprisoned for a crime they did not commit simply because a celebrity's

name was involved. The fact that a man like Don Bohana still seeks validation through a

hearing suggests the system has failed him for too long.

Pardoning Don Bohana. Keeping faith in our courts is a critical objective. By admitting

when courts are wrong justice can finally be served on those who have become victimized

by the wrong.

Don has offered to testify before a committee of elected officials to share his story and

present his evidence. It is time the state and those in Washington DC listen..

Justice delayed is justice denied. For Don Bohana, and for the integrity of California's

judicial system, it is time to move forward with the truth.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Donald “Don” Bohana Files Post-Conviction Petition for Declaratory Relief of Actual

Innocence After 25 Years of Wrongful Imprisonment

Newly Discovered Evidence Demonstrates Prosecutorial Misconduct, Judicial Complicity,

and Unlawful Influence by the Jackson Family in the Conviction Related to the Death of

Dolores Jackson (Tito Jackson’s Ex-Wife and Michael Jackson’s Sister-in-Law)

June 8, 2026 – [Los Angeles, CA] – Today, Attorney Scott A. Kudler of the Kudler Law Firm,

counsel for Mr. Bohana formally filed a Petition for Post-Conviction Relief and a

Determination of Actual Innocence in the Los Angeles Superior Court, Department 107 of

the Criminal Courts Building. The filing presents newly discovered, irrefutable evidence

that establishes Mr. Bohana’s complete and unequivocal innocence and exposes a pattern

of egregious deliberate prosecutorial misconduct, judicial complicity, and extreme

external influence by the Jackson Family and their attorney, Brian Oxman (now disbarred)

resulting in an unparalleled wrongful conviction and miscarriage of justice resulting in Mr.

Bohana spending 25-years incarcerated for the accidental drowning of Dolores “Dee Dee”

Jackson. Mr. Bohana, a well-educated, respected community leader, devoted father, and

family man, and U.S. Army military veteran, was convicted despite his unwavering

insistence on his innocence and his principled refusal to accept any plea bargain offered

by the prosecution. The newly presented evidence conclusively proves why the major

crimes unit of the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office refused to prosecute Mr.

Bohana. The Jackson's attorney, Brian Oxman, personally recruited Deputy District

Attorney Lori Ann Jones of the Family Violence Unit to reopen the case and prosecute as a

family violence matter. Deputy District Attorney Lori Ann Jones subsequently brought in

Inglewood Deputy District Attorney, Patricia Titus, to assist her in manufacturing an

egregious miscarriage of justice. The District Attorney’s office, presiding with judges, and

other officials turned a blind eye to the enormous number of exculpatory facts and

evidence which the major crimes unit had uncovered. The alleged forensic pathology,

Dr. David Posey and certain parties; including Mr. Bohana’s former defense attorney,

Harland Braun, compromised and/or compensated by the Jackson family. This conduct

constitutes a clear violation of due process and Mr. Bohana’s civil and constitutional rights

under color of law. Compounding the injustice, three years before the criminal case was

brought against Mr. Bohana, Dolores Jackson’s death was officially ruled an

undetermined/accident. The Jackson family initiated a civil lawsuit against Mr. Bohana

prior to the criminal case seeking $2 million in damages; however, they realized if they

proceeded with the civil trial it would collapse, thus they settled for $201,000,000, the

defense cost.

The current petition requests that the court:

  • Declare Mr. Bohana is factually and legally innocent of all charges, vacate the conviction in its entirety, and order the full public disclosure of the names of every government official complicit; including officials from the District Attorney’s office, members of the judiciary, and any other parties involved so that accountability is achieved and systemic safeguards can be implemented to prevent similar miscarriages of justice.

  • Refer the matter to the current California State Attorney General for immediate independent review and appropriate disciplinary action including but not limited to revocation (i.e. disbarment) of the ability to practice law in the State of California.

Mr. Bohana’s legal team stated: “This is not merely a case of wrongful conviction. The evidence now before the court reveals a coordinated effort to subvert justice. We will not rest until every name is disclosed and Mr. Bohana is fully exonerated.” Just days ago, Bohana spoke powerfully at the “Take Our California Back to a Better Future” Statewide Summit, directly challenging candidates for governor on the urgent need for real prison reform and justice system accountability. Kim Yeater, host of The Take Your Power Back Show and spokesperson for the Bohana exoneration team, added: “Don Bohana spent a quarter-century behind bars for a crime he did not commit, simply because he refused to.
