A CDC team monitors vaccine safety for the COVID-19 vaccine

As The Epoch Times reported, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) are monitoring vaccine adverse event data through the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS).

An FOIA request led to the disclosure.

In an editorial for The Epoch Times, officials have repeatedly referred to the U.S. government's COVID-19 vaccine safety monitoring as "the most intensive" in history. As early as 2021, the CDC falsely claimed it was analyzing data from VAERS and refused to name the employees working on it.
