Why Is the Pennsylvania Senate Race So Important?

The Pennsylvania Senate race is one of the most important in the country because it has the potential to determine which party controls the chamber.

Dr. Mehmet Oz, a candidate for the seat, visited Bucks County on Tuesday and spoke about his desire to bring people together and end partisan bickering in Washington.

The Senate race in Pennsylvania is important because it could decide whether or not Republicans maintain control of the Senate.

“When I travel around Pennsylvania, I don’t hear people telling me to go beat up on Democrats,” Oz said.

“Heck, we’re a purple state; your neighbors are Democrats,” the Republican candidate stated. “And by the way, they’re going to vote for us in this election. What I hear over and over again is, ‘go there and fix the problems.’”

The Pennsylvania Senate Midterm election 2022 is one of the most important state-wide elections in Pennsylvania. It will determine who will represent the state-in the U.S. Senate, and in so doing, who will get to make decisions on federal issues like Medicare, Social Security, immigration and foreign policy.

The contest between the two major party candidates, Democrat John Fetterman (D) and Republican Mehmet Oz (R), is one of the most watched in the country. It is a close race, with RealClearPolitics.com average of polls showing Fetterman leading by less than one point.

Democrats currently hold a slim majority in the Senate, but that could change if Republicans win enough seats in November. If Mehmet Oz wins in Pennsylvania, it would give Republicans a good chance of taking back the Senate.

This is why the Pennsylvania Senate Midterm election in 2022 is so important. It could very well determine which party controls the Senate.

Pennsylvania's Senate election is one of the most important in the country with a hotly contested race.
