Students in Delhi protest against the arrest of environmentalists

Students chanted slogans outside Delhi police headquarters, Tuesday, demanding the release of a 22-year-old environmental activist accused of sedition over an online document in support of farmers' protests.

Police say, Disha Ravi, head of the local branch of Greta Thunberg, a climate change advocacy group, devised and participated in a "toolkit" or action plan used to stoke violence in Delhi last month during the protests.

His supporters denied he did anything illegal, saying the toolkit was an information package about the protests, which erupted late last year to demand the repeal of three new agricultural laws, and were not designed to incite violence.
