The Vatican suggested Thursday that Biden's presidency could inject new life into the stalled Paris climate agreement after President Trump pulled the United States out of the accord in 2017.

The Vatican Committee on COVID-19 announced, Thursday, that it will host a webinar next week in preparation for the December 12th global climate summit hosted by the United Nations and the United Kingdom to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the Paris Agreement.

In its preparatory document, the Vatican Team lamented the lack of initiative and commitment to the Paris climate goals, something that they said must gain renewed momentum ahead of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 26). It will be held in Glasgow in November 2021.
