During the G20 Summit, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi Berates Antony Blinken

At an in-person meeting with his American counterpart, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, on the sidelines of the G-20 summit, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi accused the United States of violating China's "legitimate rights" and berated Washington's relationship with Taiwan.

On the margins of the G-20 conference, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with his American counterpart, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and accused the US of breaching China's "legitimate rights" and criticized Washington's ties with Taiwan.

In statements following the conversation, Blinken hinted that he agreed with the Chinese officials about America's low moral authority, told journalists, "we recognize we have work to do at home."

Wang did not criticize the United States for purported racial injustices this weekend, according to China's state-run Xinhua News Agency. Instead, Wang protested to Blinken that America's backing for Taiwan, which Beijing mistakenly thinks is a province under its authority, had caused "severe harm" worldwide.

Wang also allegedly urged that Blinken strive to stop Congress from taking acts that harm communist China's interests, disregarding the fact that the State Department lacks such jurisdiction under America's separation of powers structure.
