Two explosions confirmed near Kabul's airport in Afghanistan

During the massive US evacuation efforts, two explosions were reported outside Kabul airport in Afghanistan on Thursday morning.

Pentagon spokesman John Kirby confirmed that the explosion occurred near Abbey Gate.

Kirby confirmed that the second explosion occurred at or near the Baron Hotel, located a mile from the airport. John Kirby also confirmed that the Abbey Gate bombing was part of a "complex attack" that resulted in many casualties among the US military and civilians.

An ambulance hospital in Kabul said 30 people injured in two explosions near Kabul International Airport received treatment. According to the Wall Street Journal and Afghan television station TOLO News.
