Afghanistan must not be the breeding ground of terror - British Prime Minister



British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said Afghanistan must not be the breeding ground of terror as the Taliban enters capital Kabul.


Prime Minister Boris Johnson said the situation "continues to be exceedingly tough" and would become much more so following the emergency Cobra committee meeting.


Prime Minister Boris Johnson urged “like-minded” nations to work together but not recognizing any new Afghan administration without prior agreement.


The Parliament of the UK is being recalled on Wednesday to discuss further the situation.


The British Prime Minister Johnson said; “Our priority is to make sure we deliver on our obligations to UK nationals, to all those who have helped the British effort in Afghanistan over 20 years, and to get them out as fast as we can.”


The British ambassador in Kabul is staying there was “working around the clock” to do this and has been at the airport processing applications, Bristish PM Johnson said.
