A California man kills three daughters and himself in a church

An unidentified father fatally shot his three daughters, their chaperone, and himself while they were watching a church service in Sacramento, California.

Sgt. Rod Grassmann with the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office said responding officers found five people dead in the Arden-Arcade neighborhood of Sacramento at approximately 5:15 p.m., including the shooter.

Sheriff Scott Jones said the shooter had a restraining order against his daughters' mother, who was estranged from him. The shooter is believed to have been the chaperone of the fourth victim, who was shot during a supervised visit with the children.

There are no events listed on the online calendar for Monday at the Church In Sacramento, which caters to English, Chinese, and Spanish worshippers.
